Speaking on the occasion guest of honor Ms Sania Mirza shared her experience of going under the knife and complemented the young cancer fighters who fought cancer.
The month of November being marked to honor children globally, Apollo Cancer hospital under the able leadership of Dr. Vijay Anand Reddy celebrated children’s day on 13th November 2013 with a range of colorful and fun filled activities. Ace Tennis star Sania Mirza graced the event with her presence to honor and felicitate the child cancer survivors.
Parents of child cancer survivors interacted with child cancer patients and their parents. A parent of child cancer patient acknowledged the support and care by Dr Vijay Anand Reddy and his team of consultants. The Children participated painting singing and dancing on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Vijay Anand Reddy Director Apollo cancer hospital welcomed Ms. Sania Mirza with a warm speech and expressed his concern for children who are struck with Cancer. Dr. Reddy said “Cancer doesn’t even spare children however children cope with cancers better than adults, He also pointed out 80% of the childhood cancers are curable against 65% in adults. Dr. SVSS Prasad consultant medical oncology also spoke on the early symptoms of cancers in children.
