Gynecological Cancers, originate in the female internal reproductive system causing cervical, uterine, vaginal, fallopian tubes, ovarian and reproductive tract cancers. Gynecological Cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women.
Dr Reddy acquired his specialist’s training in treating Gynecological Cancers during his postgraduate work at the ADYAR Cancer Institute in Chennai, rated as one of the top cancer institutes in the country by the World Health Organization. Dr Vijay Anand Reddy also trained in the pioneering cancer research institute The Christie Hospital in Manchester – the largest cancer center in Europe with more than 100 years of history. Further the doctor continued his training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center in Melbourne, solely dedicated to cancer treatment and research backed by Australia’s largest cancer research group.
Dr Reddy has almost unprecedented expertise in treating women’s cancers with Brachytherapy, also known as internal radiotherapy. The treatment places the radiation source inside the body close to the affected area. His education and experience in both chemo and radiation therapies gives Dr. Reddy an outstanding understanding about the dynamic of cancer drugs and radiotherapy, making sure his patients receive the most effective combination of both. His particular area of expertise is recurrent Ovarian Cancers with long term tumor control and prolonged life expectancy is amazing.
Being a highly trained and specialized oncologist, Dr Reddy has published several papers on Gynaecological Cancers and is an invited guest speaker at majority of the large Gynaecological Oncology conferences.
