Esophagus is the tube that moves food from mouth to stomach. The cancer forms in tissues of lining of the Esophagus. There are two main types of Esophageal Cancer – Squamous Cell Carcinoma that begins in the flat cell lining and Adenocarcinoma when cancer begins in cells that release fluids, such as mucus.

Dr Reddy has had a special interest in treating Esophageal cancers with radiation and chemotherapy since his graduation training. He has conducted successful clinical research on treating patients with radical radiation and chemotherapy in order to circumvent surgery. This method of treatment allows to preserve the Esophageal tube and patients can continue consuming food normally.
