Colo Rectal Cancer
The colon is also known as the large intestine. It is an organ that is part of the digestive system. The rectum is the lowest part of colon. Adenocarcinoma is the most common type of colo rectal cancer. Since the rectum is located in the pelvis, (the lower part of the trunk between abdomen and thighs), colo rectal cancer presents itself with additional challenges in comparison to colon cancer. The rectum is surrounded by lymph nodes from which cancer can spread to other parts of the body. Bleeding and blood in the stool are some of the symptoms of colo rectal cancer.
