On the occasion of National Cancer Survivors Day 2023, Apollo Cancer Institutes, Hyderabad, and CURE foundation India launched “Cancer Champions United” a unique and empowering initiative dedicated to supporting and uplifting cancer survivors.

The event was graced by prominent social activist and Padmashree Awardee Ms Sunitha Krishnan, Tollywood Diva Ms Dimple Hayathi, and Dr. Vijay Anand Reddy, Director, Apollo Cancer Hospital who unveiled the spirited survivor friendly program.
The event was attended by many cancer survivors who have fought and conquered cancer and lived to share their inspiring stories. Dr Srinivas Chakraborty, Consultant Medical Oncologist at Apollo Cancer Institutes on this occasion, shared his insight on debunking the myth that Cancer is a death sentence and that cancer is curable more than 60% of the times
when detected at the right time and treated by the right team.
Padma Shree Ms Sunitha Krishnan, who is a Cancer Survivor herself shared her heartful yet inspiring cancer journey. Tollywood actress Ms Dimple Hayathi, expressed her appreciation and lauded the cancer survivors, their families for their indominable spirit and courage for come out victorious against cancer.
Dr Vijay Anand Reddy, Director of Apollo Cancer Institutes said that all the survivors who have fought the disease and won give hope and strength to battle cancer. He reiterated that it can be conquered and will be able to lead a normal life after. There are millions of survivors across the globe. Cancer is curable! Please do not run away from cancer.. face it, fight it…
