Apollo Cancer Hospital and CURE Foundation organised a "Smart Mob" at Prasad's IMAX Theatre to spread cancer awareness among youngsters on World Cancer Day, 4th February 2012.
The slogan "Cancer is preventable, detectable early and curable" was coined to encourage regular health checkups. Several doctors and nurses from Apollo Cancer Hospital participated in the impromptu dance session. Leading the mob were Shilpa Reddy, Dinaz Vevatwala, and Navdeep. Dr. Vijay Anand Reddy, Director, Apollo Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad, joined them as well. Bookmarks containing information about symptoms and prevention of cancer were distributed to the audience.
