8th Edition of WHITATHON 2026 - Dr. Vijay Anand Reddy

About This Event

Proud to share that the CURE Foundation was privileged to associate with and participate in the 8th Edition of WHITATHON, the flagship awareness run organized by L V Prasad Eye Institute on May 10, 2026, in Hyderabad.

The event was held to mark World Retinoblastoma Awareness Week (May 10-16) and aimed to raise awareness about the early detection and treatment of Retinoblastoma, a rare but curable eye cancer affecting young children.

WHITATHON continues to be a remarkable initiative promoting awareness about the importance of identifying early warning signs such as the "white reflex" in a child's eye, poor vision, redness, or squint — symptoms that require immediate medical attention. Early diagnosis can save both life and vision.

The enthusiastic participation from the community, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and supporters made the event a grand success. Together, we can create greater awareness and ensure timely treatment for every child affected by Retinoblastoma.
