A Cancer Awareness Walk was conducted on 3rd February 2008 from K.B.R. Park Main gate to Apollo Cancer Institute Lawns. The event was organized by women's organizations including the Breast Cancer Support Group and Cure Foundation of Apollo Cancer Institute, with support from various organizations such as Make a Wish Foundation, Astha, Aga Khan Health Service India, WIN, Deloitte, Accenture, Reddy's Labs, Jubilee Club, and Roshini.
Popular Cine Actress Mrs. Ramya Krishna was invited as the Chief Guest. During the event, 500 Free Cancer Check Cards were distributed to attendees.
This walk aimed to increase awareness about breast cancer and promote early detection in the community.
