Hyderabad, India – February 2nd, 2024 – Apollo Cancer Centres proudly introduces Unmask Cancer, a groundbreaking campaign aimed at unravelling the truth about cancer, dispelling myths, and fostering empathy within society. As World Cancer Day approaches, ACCs takes a bold step to address the discrimination faced by cancer winners.
Unmask Cancer shares the journey of cancer winners who, despite exceptional skills, grapple with societal biases stemming from their cancer history. The campaign includes a thought-provoking social experiment video highlighting consequences of discrimination across societal, corporate, and appearance-related biases. Only a few brave survivors unmask themselves, supported by family and friends.
ACCs takes the initiative to the corporate sector and society at large, including Cancer Sensitization Sessions led by oncologists and survivors, both online and offline. These sessions foster awareness, empathy, and equality.
Dr. Vijay Anand Reddy said, "Our mission at ACC goes beyond providing world-class medical care. Unmask Cancer is a testament to our dedication to creating a society that supports and uplifts cancer survivors. He added, "By unmasking the truth about cancer, we aim to break down barriers and build a more inclusive and compassionate world for all."
