For the first time in the country, artists and survivors join hands to win over cancer | Mural Art | Sangita Reddy
Incidence of Breast Cancer is alarmingly increasing! It is the most common cancer in women in India and effecting one in every 8 women.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Vijay Anand Reddy, said, women are the most important part of the family, society and the nation. They should not neglect their health. Be cautious of warning symptoms. cancer in women is highly curable, their survival from cancer is much higher than in men. He emphasised on adopting healthy lifestyle and food habits, besides undergoing regular cancer screening.
Today more and more young women are being diagnosed of breast cancer aver most oncologists. This necessitates spreading awareness on prevention from young age, on war footing. Apollo Cancer Hospital has taken the initiative to organize the Breast Cancer Awareness Program to target the younger women to stem the incidence in the community, points out Dr. Reddy.
On the occasion of Breast cancer awareness month, Apollo Cancer Institute held a breast cancer awareness program at Apollo Cancer Hospital, Jubilee Hills Hyderabad on 30th of October 2013 to honor the Breast cancer survivors and spread awareness on Breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Prevention starts at 5 was organized on 22nd October 2011. This program aimed at increasing awareness amongst young women about the prevention and detection of the dreaded Cancer.
The Breast Cancer Support Group conducts monthly meetings every 3rd Saturday at Apollo Cancer Hospital. This meeting is fundamentally aimed at making people aware about the various aspects of breast cancer.
Popular Cine Actress Mrs. Ramya Krishna was invited for the program as a Chief Guest. 500 Free Cancer Check Cards were distributed on this occasion.
Across the globe, October is being observed as World Breast Cancer Day.
